First Haircuts and Loving Big Brothers

I gave my baby boy his very First Hair Cut!
He turned 1 about a month ago, so I decided it was about time. Here are some pictures of both my boys before their haircuts. ;)
. . . my baby. . .

. . . and baby's big brother. . .

I added about 6 months to their lives when I cut their hair. (My kids always seem to look older when I cut their hair.) Here they are all nice clean and with much shorter hair.

A few days ago I was in my living room playing(tinkering around on) the piano. My younger son was crawling around and stopped near the piano, right by this side:

My older son walked over by my baby boy, looked at him, then stomped on his bum so hard that it thrust his head into the piano. It not only looked, but sounded like it hurt! When he lifted his head from meeting the piano, he had a big bump. This is what it looked like after 10 minutes of ice:

I love ice! It looked much better after icing it for ten minutes. I think it healed faster too because it was not as swollen as it would have been without ice.
For punishment my older son sat in a timeout for 3 1/2 minutes. When he was done with his timeout I made him sit next to me with his ears unplugged and he had to listen to his baby brother scream while I held the ice on. Hopefully he will be a little more careful. Only time will tell.

  1. Don't you just love it? The most redundant questions in a mothers vocabulary. Why did you do that? What where you thinking and just plain old WHY? I guess it just makes the younger sibs stronger for it. So excited to come Saturday morning. Kind of funny, but I had a dream last night that somebody took my baskets. Weird:(

  2. By the way your boys hair looks so cute. They do look all grown up.
